Diabolik is the US shop to check first
Diabolik DVD had more horror 4Ks under $30 in stock than any other US shop we read, and a lot of them are imports. Second Sight is a UK label that doesn't run a US store, and Diabolik sold its standard 4K editions at $29.99: Pearl, MaXXXine, Talk to Me, Late Night with the Devil, It Follows, The Brood, Scanners, Possessor and Green Room among them. Second Sight's 4K listings that state a region all say region free, so they play on a US player.
Severin 4Ks were cheaper at Diabolik than at Severin's own US store. The Autopsy of Jane Doe was $29.99 there against $38 direct, Eaten Alive $29.99 against $42, and In My Skin and Spider Labyrinth $29.99 against $38. Severin US had no horror 4K under $30 in stock at all; its cheapest was $35.

Diabolik also had two Eureka 4Ks under $26: Cure at $24.99 and The Old Dark House at $25.99.
Arrow's Shocktober tier
Until 2 November, most Arrow 4Ks on the US store are $25. That beats everything above for the titles it covers. The Shocktober guide lists the titles in the sale.
Vinegar Syndrome's cheapest 4Ks
Vinegar Syndrome had six horror 4Ks under $30. The cheapest was Night of the Vamp-Friars at $27.99 (a pre-order), followed by a group at $29.99: FleshEater, The Boogeyman, Night Screams, Shanks and Terror at Tenkiller. The median VS horror 4K in our data was $34.99.

Second Sight's standard editions
Second Sight sells most standard 4Ks at £24.99 on its own store, and Dog Soldiers was £17.99. These are the same films as the limited editions with fewer extras in the box (we compare the gap in our limited edition post). Rarewaves had many of them at £22.72.

Eureka, 88 Films and Indicator
Eureka had the cheapest label-direct 4Ks in the UK: Cure and The Old Dark House at £17.99, Martyrs and Das Cabinet des Dr. Caligari at £19.99. Martyrs has a limited edition too, at £39.99.
88 Films had Eyeball and Cannibal Holocaust at £20, and Fade to Black and Sorority House Massacre at £23. Indicator's cheapest was The Shiver of the Vampires at £20.99.

Arrow UK and Rarewaves
Arrow UK's Shocktober price for most 4Ks is £15, the lowest label-direct 4K price we saw anywhere. Rarewaves was a little cheaper again on many of the same discs (£13.36), but we can only refresh Rarewaves prices some of the time, so they drop off our cards after 48 hours.
Costs the price doesn't show
- Delivery. None of these prices include it. Vinegar Syndrome says US and Canada orders over $80 ship free, and international orders over $150.
- Combo packs. Many boutique 4Ks include a Blu-ray of the same film. The 4K disc isn't region coded, but the Blu-ray can be. For a US buyer with a UK release that only matters if you want to play the Blu-ray.
- Out-of-stock lows. A price only counts here if the shop shows the disc in stock or on pre-order.
If a 4K you want isn't cheap yet, open its page on Scream Shelf and set a price alert. We'll email you when it drops.
