Arrow's Halloween sale is called Shocktober this year. Both stores, arrowvideo.com in the US and arrowfilms.com in the UK, say it runs from 14 October to 2 November 2026, with "up to 50% off" hundreds of 4K UHD and Blu-ray titles. Arrow's post on X repeats the end date: all offers end November 2.
We read both stores' horror pages through the day. Below is what the discs cost on each store right now, and where another shop beats Arrow's own price.

The sale has a few fixed price points. On 20 October our checks of Arrow's horror category showed:
| US store (arrowvideo.com) | UK store (arrowfilms.com) | |
|---|---|---|
| Most 4K UHDs | $25, down from $49.99 | £15, down from £29.99 |
| Most Blu-rays | $17, down from $39.95 | £9, down from £24.99 |
| Some newer or limited 4Ks | $30 to $35 | £20 to £25 |
| Box sets | $30 to $215 | £30 to £180 |
Of the 66 in-stock horror listings on the US store, 35 were Blu-rays at $17 and 8 were 4Ks at $25. On the UK store, 48 Blu-rays sat at £9 and 20 4Ks at £15.
The US store prints list prices around $39.95 for a Blu-ray and $49.99 for a 4K, so "50% off" is close to true on most of the range. UK list prices are lower (£24.99 and £29.99), but the UK Blu-ray tier goes further than the banner says: £9 against £24.99 is 64% off, where $17 against $39.95 is 57%. The 4K tier is 50% in both regions.
The multibuys are worse than the sale price
Both stores' menus also list multibuy offers: 2 for $60 on 4K UHDs and 3 for $70 on Blu-rays in the US, and 2 for £40 on 4K UHDs and 3 for £45 on Blu-rays in the UK.
Per disc, the multibuys cost more than the main sale. 2 for $60 is $30 a disc, more than the $25 a 4K costs in the main sale. 3 for $70 is about $23.33 a Blu-ray against $17. In the UK, 2 for £40 is £20 a 4K against £15, and 3 for £45 is £15 a Blu-ray against £9.
So the multibuys only make sense for titles that aren't already in the 50% tier, such as the pricier new 4Ks. Arrow doesn't give an end date for the multibuys on the menu, and we haven't confirmed whether they stack with sale prices, so check the basket total.
Arrow 4K UHDs in the sale
These are 4Ks sitting at the main sale price on at least one Arrow store when we checked. The cards show live prices from our latest check, so they'll move if Arrow changes anything.

Ringu and Dark Water make an obvious J-horror pair at the 4K price. Jason Goes to Hell was $25 in the US but sold out at £15 in the UK on our last check. Alice, Sweet Alice, Incubus and Mary Shelley's Frankenstein only turned up on the US store in our matching.
Blu-rays at $17 and £9
The Blu-ray tier is where Shocktober is strongest. At $17 these are cheaper than the same Arrow discs at Diabolik, which mostly lists them at $27.99.

Don't Torture a Duckling, The Woman and Eaten Alive were £9 on the UK store and $17 on the US store, so both regions get them at the bottom tier. A few UK Blu-rays sit at £10 instead of £9, Crimson Peak and Flatliners among them.
Box sets
Arrow's sets get cut too, though less evenly. On the US store, Blood Hunger: The Films of José Larraz was $70 (list $99.95) and the UK store had it at £30 (list £59.99). Shawscope Volume Four was $120 in the US and £80 in the UK.

Box sets are where Diabolik tends to undercut Arrow US. Gothic Fantastico was $64.99 there against $70 at Arrow, and Blood Hunger $67.99 against $70. J-Horror Rising was cheaper at Diabolik too ($36.99 against $40), but sold out.
Arrow direct vs Diabolik (US)
Diabolik DVD sells many of the same Arrow US editions. We compared the 50 listings both shops carried where Arrow had the disc in stock on 20 October. Arrow's own store was cheaper on 37 and Diabolik on 13. The Diabolik wins were box sets, two 4Ks (The Frighteners and Children of the Corn, both $33.99 against Arrow's $35) and the few Blu-rays Arrow left at $28, such as Hellraiser at $27.99.
If you're buying single discs, Arrow direct is the better deal until 2 November. For sets, compare first.
Arrow UK vs Rarewaves
UK buyers have Rarewaves as the main alternative, and it ran an "Arrow Halloween Sale" in its offers menu without stating a discount. On the 54 Arrow titles both shops listed, Rarewaves was cheaper on 28 and Arrow on 26, but it splits by format. Rarewaves won 18 of the 19 4Ks, usually by a small margin: Basket Case, Candyman, Crimson Peak and Dark Water were £15 at Arrow and £13.36 at Rarewaves. Arrow won 25 of the 35 Blu-rays, mostly thanks to the £9 tier.
Rarewaves blocks our automatic price checks some of the time, so we hide its prices once they're more than 48 hours old, and a Rarewaves price can drop off a card between checks.
New releases in the sale window
Two Arrow 4Ks with release dates inside or right after the sale were on pre-order when we checked. The Frighteners is dated 26 October (£25 on the UK store, $35 on the US store) and Salem's Lot is dated 9 November (£25 on the UK store). Neither is at the 50% tier.

Before you buy
- Shocktober ends on 2 November 2026. Arrow's post says all offers end that day; it doesn't give a time.
- The US and UK stores sell separate editions. A UK Blu-ray may be Region B, so check the product page if you're in the US (our region guide covers this).
- Prices here exclude delivery. Arrow's sites show shipping at checkout.
