Most boutique labels run their big sales around the same points every year, so a rough calendar helps you decide when to pre-order and when to wait.
Our main source is the Boutique Sales Megathread on the Blu-ray.com forum, which logs past sales; the copy we used was last edited on 7 September 2026. It mostly follows US stores, so UK timings can differ. Where a label has announced a 2026 sale on its own site or account, we say so. Everything else is a past pattern, and labels do move their dates.

Label by label
Arrow
- April: Easter sale, one of Arrow's recurring 50% sales on its own site.
- October: Halloween sale. In 2026 it's Shocktober, running 14 October to 2 November on both the US and UK stores, with up to 50% off.
- November: Black Friday, running into Christmas.
- December: a holiday sale, listed in the megathread as Yuletide Friday Frights.
During Shocktober, most Arrow Blu-rays were $17 in the US and £9 in the UK. An Arrow price above those is worth waiting on. See our Shocktober guide.

Vinegar Syndrome
VS runs more sales than anyone else on this list.
- January: subscriber week daily deals. The megathread says limited edition cases, boxes and slipcovers go 50 to 70% off.
- February: a Valentine's weekend sale (listed as Mélusine).
- May: Halfway to Black Friday, 50% or more off.
- July: midyear subscriber week daily deals, starting 1 July. The megathread calls it the biggest sale of the year, with 50 to 80% off selected limited edition cases, boxes and slipcovers.
- September: Labor Day sale.
- October: 31 Days of Syntober. In 2026, one featured film each day is 50% off SRP with 3x VSMC reward points, and the new pick goes up at 12:01 PM ET.
- November: Black Friday.
Remember that VS prices nearly everything below SRP every day (by about 30% on average in our data). A VS sale price is only a deal if it beats the everyday price, not the SRP.
Severin
- June: midyear sale. In 2026 it ran 26 to 29 June at 50 to 75% off, with a box set sale on 27 June.
- November: Black Friday.
Severin hadn't announced a Halloween sale when we checked on 20 October. Its US store still had a "Summer Sale 2026" collection with some titles marked down and no end date.
88 Films
- November: Black Friday, with tiered discounts of 10, 20, 30 or 40% depending on how many you buy.
88 Films hadn't announced a sale on its own store on 20 October. It did post that Barnes & Noble was running a 50% off sale until 8 November that includes 88 Films titles, for US buyers.
Indicator / Powerhouse
- April: Indicator sale.
- October: fall sale. In 2026, Powerhouse's current sale ends at noon UK time on Wednesday 28 October, with some items also in a 3 for 25% off offer.
- November: Black Friday.
Second Sight
- September: a standard edition sale. The megathread says Second Sight doesn't discount limited editions.
Eureka
- May: a sale on selected items. The megathread says Eureka usually runs small sales (20 to 30%) or discounts only a selection.
How to use this
- If it's the limited edition you want, pre-ordering is the safer bet, because limiteds can sell out before the next sale. Second Sight, per the megathread, doesn't discount its limiteds at all.
- Black Friday is the most reliable. Five of the seven labels here have a Black Friday sale on record.
- Compare against the everyday price. VS and Severin US list most discs below SRP all the time, so their percentage off can look bigger than it is.
- To hear when a sale starts, sign up for the weekly email below or set a price alert on any title page.
